Policy 2026-08-19 · Last updated August 19, 2026

Privacy, in clear language.

This policy explains what Your Element collects, why it is used, who helps process it, and the choices available to you. We apply data minimization: birth details used for a paid reading are kept separate from general marketing and are never treated as medical records.

What we collect

Free resources and newsletters: email address, consent record, requested resource, optional quiz element or birth year, and campaign source. Orders: PayPal order reference, product, amount, currency, and payer email when PayPal supplies it. Personalized readings: preferred name, email, birth date, recorded time and confidence, birth place, traditional calculation sex when chosen, focus, question, and optional context.

Why we use it

  • Contract: to verify, prepare, quality-check, deliver, correct, and support an order.
  • Consent: to send requested resources and optional marketing email. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
  • Legitimate interests: to protect forms and checkout from abuse and understand aggregate site performance, after considering visitor rights.
  • Legal obligations: to keep payment, accounting, tax, refund, or dispute records where required.

We do not sell personal data. Detailed birth information is not placed in the newsletter list, advertising audiences, or analytics events. We do not use it for medical diagnosis or fully automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Processors and international transfers

PayPal processes payment; Formspree receives signup and delivery forms; Vercel hosts the site and provides privacy-focused aggregate analytics; Buttondown may send consented newsletters when configured. These providers may process data in other countries under their own terms and transfer safeguards. We share only the fields needed for each service.

Calculators, analytics, and cookies

Free chart tools calculate results during the current interaction. Your Element does not intentionally send names, emails, full birth details, customer questions, or PayPal references to Vercel Web Analytics. Vercel states that its Web Analytics uses anonymized aggregate data and no analytics cookies; essential provider or security functions may still process technical request data.

How long information is kept

Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe or the list is retired. Reading inputs and delivery correspondence are kept only through preparation, delivery, a reasonable correction and dispute window, then deleted or minimized unless accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, or other law requires longer retention. Payment and consent records may be retained for the applicable statutory and dispute period. A fixed number of years will be added after the seller country and accounting duties are confirmed.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a portable copy; withdraw consent; and complain to your local data-protection authority. Some requests may be limited where records must be retained by law or to establish or defend legal claims. Use the support contact above and include enough information to locate the relevant record without sending identity documents unless specifically required.

Safety and age boundary

Services are intended for adults aged 18 or older. Do not submit another person's birth details without permission. Avoid entering unrelated medical, financial, government-ID, or other sensitive information in free-text fields. No internet transmission is completely risk-free.

Changes

Material changes will receive a new policy version and apply prospectively. The policy version accepted at checkout is recorded with the order.
